of Irrigational Facility. |

|
Wanniamunukula
farmer group depends mainly on seasonal rains (monsoon) for
the cultivation of Chili, Sesame & Mustard. There are
few small neglected irrigational tanks in this village &
PODIE financially assisted this farmer group to rehabilitate
one of these tanks to enable them store water during the rainy
season, so that they could utilize this water for their cultivation
during the dry season. The farmers also contributed with their
labour to complete this project. |

We
have provided a Bio Mass Dryer for the benefit of Kothmale
Farmer group to dry their Cardamom in accordance with excepted
standards. |

|
|
|
We have
provided Solar Dryers for the benefit of Kolugala & Matale
farmer groups to dry their produce - Cloves, Black and White
Pepper, Nutmeg, Mace and Cocoa. These facilities we have provided
for these groups has solved the problem they have encounted
earlier in this regard. |
